Paris…Part Deux

April 9, 2017

We actually ended the night early in an attempt to catch up on the sleep lost in the past 24 hours.  We apparently were more exhausted than we realized, because the next thing we knew it was noon!  We planned a down day anyway so we’re not kicking ourselves.  The only event we’ve planned today is a dinner cruise down the Seine River this evening, which is always very beautiful.

But first, time to sustain ourselves with some French food!  We’re heading down to the cafe to relax and eat something wonderful.

Just a note about the French..They REALLY are smarter than we are. I mean..a washer dryer combo..in the same machine! And how efficient.. Who would’ve thought you could squeeze a sink, shower and toilet into a 4’X4′ space! Also, the hot water tank is over your head so you have hot water right now..Americans love instant gratification…

We found a beautiful cafe not far from the apartment on the Rue de Bourdonnais.  We decided to eat there since they said they would still serve us breakfast even though it was after 1 pm.  Oh my…the omelet de frommage was so light and perfectly prepared.  We realized we weren’t in IHOP anymore.  And I decided that since it was after 1 pm, I ordered some breakfast wine.  Even the waiter questioned that decision but we have one life, right? At least that’s what I’ve been told.  So, breakfast wine it is!

We decided to walk around our Parisian neighborhood and enjoy this beautiful Sunday.  There are thousands of people relaxing around the Eiffel Tower, and everyone trying to find a bit of shade today.  We just kept walking but stopped to take a few pictures because that’s what tourists do…right?!?

What a wonderous place this is.  If you haven’t been to Paris, you must plan your trip today!  If you have been, it is time to return.  We hope you can find as perfect a place to stay as we did.  Our building is the older one on the right.  Couldn’t be any better than this!

Just a little Parisien eye candy..

We are taking our dinner cruise down the Seine River this evening.  My date is a knock out!
