What a wonderful day this has become since my daughter, Kate, and her friend Kim have arrived to spend the next five days with Pat and me in Paris.  When you are traveling far away from your familiar surroundings, the feeling of seeing someone from home is very comforting.  We are very happy she and Kim are here with us.  They arrived very early this morning and are exhausted after flying all night long.  So they decided to catch up on some rest and Pat and I are doing the domestic chores like picking up the apartment and getting some laundry done.

We are not quite sure what the plans are for the day but we will probably do nothing more than enjoy life together and take it easy.  We can always restart the responsibilities of being tourists tomorrow.
