Pre-Easter Rest

April 15, 2017

We have had a couple of busy and physically demanding days, so Pat and I decided to take the day off and catch up a little.  I have COPD and trying to maintain healthy breathing, and she has a twinge in her leg that darn well hurts.  Yesterday was a challenge since we met some major inclines in Montmartre that forced us both to push ourselves pretty hard.  So, today we plan to slow down, organize, and perhaps start preparing for Easter, and the next phase of our journey – Venice, Italy on Tuesday.

I have made reservations at a beautiful little restaurant for our Easter Sunday meal.  It is called Chez Francis and has beautiful views of the Eiffel Tower.

We slept in until about 9:15 this morning and plan to do little to nothing on this lazy Saturday except enjoy each other’s company.  There is a slight drizzle in Paris this morning, so it might be a good day to kick back and relax.

Kate and Kim went out to a truffle restaurant they found the other day but brought home prosuctto, Serrano ham, three kinds of cheese, baguette, red and white wine; simply amazing food.

We thank them both so much for making this afternoon so special.
