Goodbye Mykonos

As the sun set on Mykonos last night, a few thoughts entered my feeble brain. A dear friend said in a text message that she could only imagine what being here had done for us. My response was that it was like our inner self suddenly became our outer self. While we were here, our feelings about life suddenly became very peaceful and real, knowing exactly who and what we are together and individually. I suspect that this must be what people who have had near death experiences must feel like when they’re told they can’t stay in heaven and must return to Earth. While we have so much joy being here, there is that little issue about leaving and going back to our daily routine. We will never get over the feeling of joy and peace this place filled us with and we are thankful to have been here; but uneasy to be leaving.

We were picked up at our hotel about 9 am for the drive to Mykonos Harbor to catch the hydrofoil to Santorini.

Goodbye Mykonos.
