Today is tax day, a date that always seems to sneak up on us no matter how prepared we think we are. Many of you have probably already filed your returns for the year, and while there’s undoubtedly some relief in crossing it off your to-do list, the process itself is rarely enjoyable.

Gathering receipts, double-checking forms, and making sense of ever-changing tax regulations can be a stressful and tedious experience.

Even if you submit your forms well before the deadline, there’s often a lingering sense of worry—did I miss something? Will I owe more than expected? For those who wait until the last minute, the pressure only adds to the tension of the day.

But once it’s done, there’s a feeling of accomplishment and freedom, knowing that another year is behind you. Tax day serves as a reminder of both our responsibilities and the satisfaction of meeting them, even if the journey to get there isn’t exactly pleasant.

“Then said He unto them, ‘Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s.’” – Matthew 22:21
