Just because you don’t believe the way others believe doesn’t make you someone bad like a “Nazi or a Fascist.” Those words have become the new standard for disapproval. They used to mean something terrible and specific. Now they are used to try to shut people up. If you vote differently, worship differently, or raise your family by different rules, you get labeled. That label isn’t about truth — it’s about control.
A difference in values is not a crime. It is the whole point of freedom. This nation was not built on the idea that we would all agree. It was built on the idea that we would disagree and still have the right to do so openly. Freedom of speech and religion were not written to protect popular ideas. They were written to protect the dissenting, unpopular view.
But there are those who would like to take that right away. They don’t take it all at once. They tell you what words you can use, what thoughts you are allowed to think, and that if you don’t repeat their beliefs, you will lose your job or your reputation. That is not tolerance or diversity. That is conformity demanded by fear. Recently those on the left are attempting to destroy our country and our values. That’s completely unacceptable.
Your values are not determined by a mob, a news channel, or social media. They are determined by your life, your experience, your faith, and your reason. Being called a name does not make it true, and standing alone does not mean you are standing in the wrong place.
Stand firm. Let your inner voice be your compass, and allow your character and your actions speak for you. The crowd will always rush to its next outrage, but you alone must live with the choices you made when standing your ground. It’s time to remember what this nation stands for — and then decide to stay true to what you believe.
