These are interesting times, and I believe we all must yell, holler, and scream what we believe while we still have the breath and the freedom to do it. Silence has never saved a country, a family, or a soul. If you believe something is true and worth keeping, you owe it to yourself to say it out loud, clearly and without apology. Scream it from the rafters.
Politics are not simply about a party, they are about principles. I have lived long enough to know what matters. I believe in freedom, in personal responsibility, in the right to speak, to work, to worship, and to be left alone to build a life. I believe government should be limited, accountable, and close to the people it serves, and that our communities are stronger when we solve problems with our own hands before we ask someone else to solve them for us.
I believe in God, and I believe eternity is real. I didn’t get here by accident, and I don’t believe this life is all there is. That belief gives me peace when the news is noisy and strength when my own days feel short. I want to live in a way that honors my Creator, that loves my family and friends well, and that leaves me ready to stand before Him with a clear conscience.
What can I do to make life better is simple to say, but harder to do every day. I can tell the truth, help my neighbor, show up when it is inconvenient, and leave things a little better than I found them. I can listen more than I lecture, work hard, keep my word, and teach those who are younger that freedom is not free and faith is not casual. That’s how I’ll yell what I believe, not just with my mouth, but with my example.
